Taxi industry activists must stand up with intelligence and integrity. No one should be allowed to be hoodwinked by the ‘taxi mafia’ and become a victim of divide and rule either. It is very dangerous to compromise taxi drivers’ safety and wellbeing for personal gratification.
These days some media outlets are blocking me from speaking up. Some of those shock jock’s prejudice and bigotry, racism and sectarianism are backfiring! They are not getting enough online callers to fill in their shifts and they are forced to recycle old materials from other programs.
Anyway, I used to scream in the open air radio and managed to run stories in the media outlets and as a result some positive changes happened in the taxi industry.
Today, the NSW taxi industry is going backwards!
Blocking me may be providing some pleasure to some people but should you fail to examine The NSW Transport and Infrastructure Terrorand do nothing, you may be hurting yourself rather than me.

A public education campaign through radio, newspapers, television and all other means should be seriously considered for justice, fairness and survival.

PROPOSALS to loosen the grip of the main taxi companies over the Sydney taxi market have been rejected by the state government.
The decision has helped consolidate Reg Kermode's Cabcharge domination over electronic payments in taxis, ruling out a plan to link the state's proposed public transport smart-card with cabs.
A cross-party inquiry into the NSW taxi system this year made 59 recommendations to tackle the ''significant need'' to sharpen the competitiveness and viability of the taxi industry.
In its response to the inquiry, the state government supported 27 recommendations, rejected nine, and offered qualified or tentative support for the rest.
The rejected proposals go to some of the most substantiveissues in the industry, including the consolidation and cost of taxi licences, and the 10 per cent levy charged on EFTPOS and credit card payments in cabs.
The government rejected the select committee's suggestion of preventing networks or companies that already own more than 10 taxi licences from claiming any more. It also ruled out a plan to conduct ballots for new licences, rather than auction them off,to weaken the power of large and wealthy bidders.
The government said it did not want to cap the expansion of existing cab companies because ''such a restriction … would prevent new and emerging networks or fleet operators from gaining market share needed to compete with larger established networks.
''However, a regulation could be made [allowing] consideration to be given to limiting the number of licences that may be issued to entities that already hold a large share of the market,'' it said.
Of the most recent 100 extra cab licences auctioned off, Cabcharge - run by Mr Kermode, an octogenarian - claimed 10. At the same time, licence prices rose to $40,000, up from closer to $20,000 two years ago.
Much of the focus of the inquiry fixed on Cabcharge's 10 per cent levy for electronic payment, an issue of ''extreme public interest.''
While other finance companies compete against Cabcharge to process electronic payments, Mr Kermode's company dominates the market, having installed EFTPOS terminals in 91 per cent of all NSW taxis.
But one potential competitor - a government-run smartcard, to be installed on public transport by 2014 - will not challenge Cabcharge's business. ''Expanding the scope of the ETS [electronic ticketing system] project to include a taxi payment system is not supported … as it would [affect] its scheduled delivery,'' the state government said.
It said it would ask the federal Finance Minister, Penny Wong, to examine the 10 per cent fee.
Cabcharge earned $84.6 million in ''taxi service'' fees in the 2009-10 financial year, down from $87.5 million a year earlier.
One recommendation will win the approval of late-night revellers.Drivers will be required to change shifts before 2am and 2pm to avoid the shortage that hits during the 3am changeover.
The president of the Taxi Drivers Association, Michael Jools, described the government's response as a ''whitewash'' that would lead to minimal changes.
Dutch prosecutors have asked judges to acquit anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders on all charges of inciting hate and discrimination against Muslims, in a case seen as testing the limits of free speech versus religious freedom.
The move Friday by prosecutors signalled their belief the case against Wilders was weak, although judges could still disagree and convict him. The defence begins its case next week and a verdict is scheduled for next month.
The case is being closely watched in many European countries, where immigration has created a backlash of anti-Muslim sentiment and boosted nationalist parties that are outspokenly negative toward Islam and Muslims.
Muslims complained to Dutch authorities that Wilders crossed the line when, among many slurs, he compared Islam to Naziism and the Koran to Hitler's manifesto, Mein Kampf.
Prosecutors told the court that Wilders' statements may be "hurtful" or "insulting" to Muslims but there was insufficient proof to convict him of trying to polarise Dutch society into antagonistic groups. He has never called for violence.
Wilders, who had frowned throughout Friday's hearing, broke into a wide smile as the prosecutors concluded by running through the charges against him and asking for acquittal on each.
"I don't insult, I don't incite hate, I don't discriminate," he said outside the courtroom afterward. "The only thing I do, and will keep on doing, is speaking the truth."
In her summation, prosecutor Birgit van Roessel said Wilders' statements were made as part of the public debate "about the immigration and integration of non-western foreigners, especially Muslims."
"Standpoints can vary considerably and emotions can run high but ... it is a debate that it must be possible to have," she said.
In one example cited by prosecutors, Wilders wrote in a 2007 opinion piece: "I've had enough of Islam in the Netherlands; let not one more Muslim immigrate," and urged that the Koran be banned.
The prosecutors said that statement, like others, was within the legal bounds of public debate.
Many of Wilders' statements seemed to denounce Islam as an ideology or its the growing influence in the Netherlands, rather than being intended as an abuse of Muslims as a people or group, Van Roessel said.
Prosecutors had initially declined to press charges against Wilders at all but were ordered to do so by an appeals court that ruled there was significant evidence against him.
Muslims, mostly from Morocco and Turkey, comprise about six per cent of the Netherlands' 16.5 million population.
If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to a year in jail, though a fine is more likely.
A right-wing government that depends on Wilders' Freedom Party to reach a one-vote majority in parliament took office on Thursday, making him one of the nation's most powerful politicians.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sparked outrage in the United States on Thursday when he told a UN meeting that most people believe the US government staged the September 11 attacks.
He sparked a walkout in the UN General Assembly shortly after US President Barack Obama had offered a negotiated settlement with Iran on its nuclear drive.
The US delegation led an enraged Western walkout after Ahmadinejad's comments on the al-Qaeda attack on the World Trade Centre, which was just six kilometres from the UN headquarters. European Union delegations quickly followed.
The Iranian president said there was a theory that "some segments within the US government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East, in order also to save the Zionist regime.
"The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view," he declared to the astonished chamber.
About 3000 people died in the attacks by al-Qaeda operatives who hijacked jets and flew them into the World Trade Centre in New York, the Pentagon in Virginia and a field in Pennsylvania.
The US mission slammed the Iranian leader in a statement released even before Ahmadinejad had finished speaking.
"Rather than representing the aspirations and goodwill of the Iranian people, Mr Ahmadinejad has yet again chosen to spout vile conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic slurs that are as abhorrent and delusional as they are predictable," said Mark Kornblau, US mission spokesman.
Obama made no public comment but a senior US official said: "The president found the comments to be outrageous and offensive, particularly given how close we are to Ground Zero."
Canada's Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon called Ahmadinejad's comments "a blatant violation of international standards and of the very spirit of the UN."
The Iranian leader has frequently courted controversy at the General Assembly. Last year there was a walkout after his comments about Israel.
This year's speech also included attacks on Israel, whom he called "the Zionists."
Ahmadinejad criticised the world powers for trying to halt Iran's nuclear program, accusing them of monopolising nuclear power while "they have continued to maintain, expand and upgrade their own nuclear arsenals."
He said that 2011 should be declared a year of nuclear disarmament - "Nuclear Energy for All, Nuclear Weapons for None."
Western nations accuse Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon and the United Nations has imposed four rounds of sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
But Obama told the General Assembly earlier: "The door remains open to diplomacy should Iran choose to walk through it. But the Iranian government must demonstrate a clear and credible commitment, and confirm to the world the peaceful intent of its nuclear program," he told world leaders.
The Iranian leader's annual visits to New York frequently cause controversy and he is always surrounded by a major security operation.
About 800 people including many of Iranian origin, protested outside UN headquarters on Thursday.

John Kerr appears to be one of the better radio announcers of Sydney. One night, in his 2UE Midnight to Dawn Program he allowed someone to say a few good words about Muslims. Shortly thereafter he disappeared from the radio and later came back at a much smaller weekend show only. One can assume that he may have been punished by some one for some reason. Possibly for allowing someone to say something good about Muslims as it is unusual in this town!
Faruque Ahmed has been fighting for truthful and accurate reporting. During the process he made a few powerful enemies and lots of good friends. Legend says, some radio stations have installed "Faruque Meter" and they do not pick up his phone calls and they also do not provide him air time too. The use many tricks and techniques to silence him and some of those scenarios are narrated in Convicted Genes Oriented Judgment? and Lawless and Gutless Chris Smith of 2GB. Nonetheless, his long association with talk back radio are appreciated by the community in general and loathed by the influential Israetards, Israeo-Nazis and Zio-Nazis!
Last week the producer of John Kerr failed to call back Faruque Ahmed without any valid reason. Last night (Sunday Morning, May 09, 2010), both Faruque Ahmed and the producer of John Kerr had a nice chuckle about a few issues after midnight. The producer also promised Faruque to call back about the carefully crafted and nurtured anxiety and paranoia over the `burqa' issue. During the program a few people made a few untrue and devious claims about Muslims and burqa to incite against Muslims. Some of those claims were accidentally exposed during the show too. One pro-Muslim contributor also got the unusual axe during the conversation! Nonetheless, no one called Faruque!! It happened, even a couple of time during the shift the programmed died down due to lack of contributors.
Suspicious Faruque rang back after 4.00 AM and made some inquiries. The well spoken producer was defensive and friendly with Faruque. However, Faruque smashed the defense line by saying, "only a few minutes ago a female caller made very unusual claim against Islam and Muslims deliberately to cause injury to Muslims" (paraphrasing). The producer was moved a bit and he promised him to give air time next week. During that conversation Faruque also reasoned with the producer that it is fairly clear that someone is censoring against Faruque!
Last time (from my memory) Mike made a few allegations against me. When I asked him to substantiate those allegations, he failed miserably in his own show! Since then he is not giving me any opportunity to talk to his show.
Surely nothing is stopping Mike to use valid information of Rev Bill Crews and Burqaor provide us a right of reply before embarking on a mission against Muslims! He is also welcome to place his response in those links should he wish to do so.
Rev Bill Crews comes across as a tolerant preacher and broadcaster. I have had a few nice conversations with him over the years. I also felt, many "Christians" do not like his style too.
Today, he was trying to start a conversion about Burqa and I rang his radio program after 8.00 PM without any success. However, when I used a different phone, I got through easily and I spoke to his producer. He told me, the board is full and he won't be able to call me back! I hope it is not a blockade.
Earlier, I was compelled to say, "… Most importantly, Australian media outlets including talk back radios are audaciously manipulative, explicitly restricted, brazenly robotic and drifting from reality … " in Convicted Genes Oriented Judgment?.

I made attempts in Burkah, Fear and Paranoia Based on Prejudice and Bigotry, Belgian Prejudice and Bigotryand other forums to say that ignorance, prejudice and bigotry has overtaken the burqa debate and the real people are not getting an opportunity to say anything about this issue or any other issues for that matter as evidenced by my experience. To the best of my knowledge, many decent Muslims have made attempts to communicate with the wider world without a good success and many of them virtually gave up unlike me.
I have been trying to communicate but brick walls and bulldozers are trying to decimate me!
I don't care whether some one wears a burkah or not. But I do care if some one is forced to wear a burkah I also care if burkah is used to commit any crime. To the best of my knowledge I have not seen any statistics in this regard. However, I have heard can be, could be, may be, might be, … types of supposition, and possibility billions of time. These types of irrational and illogical fear and paranoia based on prejudice and bigotry are prevalent in our society.
The former Prime Minister of Australia John Howard managed to win two un-winnable elections by using fear and paranoia based on prejudice and bigotry. His last bastion was the Northern Territory Intervention at the expense of Aboriginal people. Yet, after all of this vicious and creative propaganda:
1. Not one person was prosecuted for sexual abuse.
2. Not one hospital was built.
3. Not one school was built.
In this occasion, half Israeli Nicolas Sarkozy got many personal and political failures. In order to divert attention from his own shortcomings he has abused and misused the burkah issue. Yet, it is not an issue in the French media. However, burkah is the headline news in some countries including Australia due to the never ending vendetta of some ill-motivated tabloid media and other instrumentalities.
By the way, no one is telling non-Muslims how to dress, eat or behave. Yet every Tom, dick and Harry thinks that they have got some divine rights to tell the Muslims what to do or not to do! Why is it so? May I ask?

People who seek moral guidance from the toilet blocks of suburbia scream about the burkah and become self appointed saviors of Muslim women! Isn't it funny and peculiar?
